[maemo-developers] [maemo-developers] machine not loading display properly anymore -- blank screen with vertical lines?

hi all -

i was in the process of 'becomingroot' (which i had some issues with)
and in the midst of turning it from R+D mode into production mode and
vice versa, my machine all of a sudden went into a display disaster.

the effect: a white screen with very very faint lines running through.
the startup sound + sound effects are fine, but there's no display.

i tried rebooting. i tried popping the battery in and out. i tried
reflashing via 'howtoflashwithmacosX' (and it finished flashing
properly, at least on the onscreen prompt).

it's still in weird bright blank unusable display mode. anyone else
have this problem?
