sorry the long delay, but I was a little busy.
here is the log:

[sbox-SDK_PC: ~] > export DISPLAY=localhost:2
[sbox-SDK_PC: ~] > af-sb-init.sh start
Sample files present.
Starting DBUS system bus
Starting D-BUS session bus daemon
Starting Sapwood image server
Starting Matchbox window manager
Starting Keyboard
Starting Task Navigator
Starting Home
Starting Statusbar

and the Xnest init log:
Sandbox:/home/cacto# /scratchbox/sbin/sbox_ctl start
Registering Scratchbox binary formats: done.
Mounting Scratchbox directories: done.
Sandbox:/home/cacto# exit
exit
cacto at Sandbox:~$ Xnest -geometry 800x480 -ac :2 &
[1] 3682
cacto at Sandbox:~$ Could not init font path element
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/, removing from list!

this Xnest message means anything special?
