I should point out that for my own purpose it doesn't need to be *much* higher 
quality, as I said some of the time the recording is just fine, provided you 
didn't use iLBC compression (which is non-free anyway, IIRC). I don't know 
anything about these kinds of things but I hope the Nokia can handle a bit 
higher quality for voice recordings. I bought an Olympus recorder last year 
and returned it upon finding that it had a proprietary and undocumented USB 
interface. I planned to use my Nokia instead--it would be a shame to see the 
770 be a disappointment in this regard.
