Memory overhead for each separate UI process is at least 1.5MB of RAM. You don't have enough memory in N770 to run applets as separate processes. Even in N800 you probably wouldn't want to do that as with default Desktop Home, Statusbar & Task Navigator applets you would be left with ~20MB less RAM for the applications. - Eero
