I personally consider it to be a bug, although I haven't reported it to
https://maemo.org/bugzilla/ yet.

/etc/resolv.conf is not supposed to be updated, the 770 uses resolvconf
and dnsmasq, with the desirable side effect that you do not need to
restart all running applications whenever your DNS server address
changes.  The real DNS server ends up in /tmp/resolv.conf.wlan0 (or
