[maemo-developers] porting a java based application on Nokia 770

Hello everyone,
                          I want to know whether a java based application
can be ported on Nokia 770 .I learned that Internet Tablet OS 2005 for Nokia
770 does not support java based applications.Is there a new verison of the
software which can support java based applications ?
