Hello all, This is probably a question for Nokia, though someone else may have looked into it. Does anyone have figures for the power consumption of combinations of running the DSP and the ARM? What I'd like to work out is whether the DSP could be used for any old task (assuming it has the same or lower power consumption than the ARM and the same or better performance) or whether it should be kept for those tasks that require its specific abilities or just when the ARM needs to offload some processing to keep responsive or to be able to decode large video, etc. Obviously the DSP processor is sitting there doing not a lot (unless one is listening to music) for a lot of the time; what's the idle consumption compared with the 100% load power consumption (if they are close it may as well be doing work all the time, etc.)? Thanks, Simon
