This is a 'bug' in the promotion interface. It doesn't use the proper
queue for moving things into Extras. We need to change the way the
promotion interface does this.

I hope we can get that fixed soon.

You can add your own .install file in your entry at maemo.org/downloads/
for now. The 'editable .install' field can be used for that. I know it is
not a perfect solution, but at least that would fix your problem for the
short-term.

The fact that they are generated doesn't mean they are for general use ;)
It makes it easy for testers, but should not be used by regular users.

Perhaps they do more harm than good, indeed. Opinions?
