Hi Grandi, Thanks for you reply. I am facing some problem while running the script "./maemo-scratchbox-install_4.1.2.sh" Error :: Host kernel VDSO support... no E: Host kernel VDSO support is incompatible with scratchbox. E: You can disable VDSO support for this session with E: 'echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/vdso_enabled' as root E: For a permanent solution you may add 'vm.vdso_enabled = 0' E: to /etc/sysctl.conf and run 'sysctl -p' as root Can you tell me what is VDSO and how I should disable or change the value. I actually tried the steps given in the error message but was not successfully. I suggest you to use a Debian base distribution, like Debian itself or Ubuntu (please note that Xephyr component, distributed with latest Ubuntu (Jaunty) contains a bug that makes the Maemo environment to crash whenever you click inside a textbox. It's a known issue and you already can find around patched packages. > 2. Does maemo still supports Gtk or it is completely shifted towards > Qt? Maemo only supports Gtk, officially, at the moment. Fremantle is Gtk based. A version of Qt will be available for Fremantle too, but it won't be officially supported neither complete. > 3. Is there any IDE for maemo on Unbuntu? yes and no. You can use whatever editor you want, but I suggest you to give a look at this IDE: http://esbox.garage.maemo.org/2nd_edition/index.html p.s: please avoid sending HTML formatted emails to the mailing list, not all like them :) -- Andrea Grandi email: a.grandi [AT] gmail [DOT] com website: http://www.andreagrandi.it PGP Key: http://www.andreagrandi.it/pgp_key.asc Download Tanla Mobile Marketing and Advertising Guide. http://www.tanla.com/MobileGuide.htm ***************************************************************************************************************** "This e-mail is intended only for the addressee.
