Because there's a perceived *risk* of risks & regressions. How many of our App Manager patches shipped to Diablo users once Maemo Devices had moved on to Fremantle? None. Is there any reason to suspect that the situation will be different with Fremantle once Maemo Devices is pushing for Harmattan? Community-maintained widgets need to be releasable and testable by the community without Nokia involvement. Nokia are just too slow (and this isn't *necessarily* a Bad Thing). When the Hildon community takes ownership and responsibility for shipping a Harmattanised Hildon, additional widgets can (and *should*) be merged then. Hell, they can be merged before then, but whilst Nokia controls the distribution of libhildon on Maemo, these extra widgets should be in libhildon-extra (or whatever). Cheers, Andrew PS. Posting rate not diminished now I'm not on the council ;-) -- Andrew Flegg -- mailto:andrew at bleb.org | http://www.bleb.org/
