Hi people, I was a Palm user until I bought nokia 770. Now I'm trying to import contacts from my Palm device to GPE Contacts. To achieve this, I synchronize my Palm with JPilot, then I select Contacts, Export to VCard, and I get file will all my contacts in VCard. The file looks encoded in UTF-8. For example, a contact that should be: Bañuelo is encoded as: Bañuelo So far, everything is Ok. The problem is when importing the VCard to GPE Contacs. If I import the file "as is", I get a "double utf-8" encoding in the contacs, so Bañuelo becomes: Bañuelo where ñ is the UTF-8 encoding for ñ If I convert the VCard file to iso8859-1 before importing, after importing I get: Bañuelo So, maybe there is something wrong with the encoding in sqlite? Any idea will be welcome! Thanks very much. -- (:===========================================:) Alvaro J. Iradier Muro - airadier at gmail.com
