[maemo-users] N900 /home full disaster: lost a lot of stuff

Hi all,
not happy at all... Accidentally copied some stuff to /home (instead of
/home/MyDocs), which filled it to 100%.
Side effects:
# the device started to behave insane - nothing worked anymore, and only
later I started getting "disk full" messages.
# loss of all conversations!!! :O ...can I get my messages back? this is the
worst.
# loss of "recent calls"
# loss of some system settings? (noticed: back to default ring tones)

Is there some hope to restore Conversations somehow?
It surely can't just decide to delete my old messages on its own?
