https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3085 Summary: Difficult to determine source of incoming IMs if contact goes offline Product: Communication Version: 4.0 Platform: N800 OS/Version: IT OS Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: Low Component: IM/Chat AssignedTo: rtcomm at maemo.org ReportedBy: sjgadsby at ptdprolog.net QAContact: im-chat-bugs at maemo.org SOFTWARE VERSION: 2.2007.50-2 RTCOM Beta 2.3 STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM: 1. Have a contact with multiple IM accounts. 2. Have no open chat windows with that contact. 3. Receive an instant message from the contact. Do not open a chat window to view the message yet. 4. Have the contact log off all IM accounts. 5. Tap the application switcher icon to see the new, incoming message from the contact listed in the right column. 6. Tap the indicator for the message from the contact in the right column. EXPECTED OUTCOME: A new chat window opens and displays the message. ACTUAL OUTCOME: The chat software displays a list of all the contact's IM accounts so the user can guess which the ccontact ussed to send the message. The user likely guesses wrong, and winds up having to use the IM log viewer to find what the message said. REPRODUCIBILITY: Always EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED: OTHER COMMENTS: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux armv6l; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/20071128 Firefox/3.0a1 Tablet browser 0.2.2 RX-34+RX-44_2008SE_2.2007.50-2 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
