SOFTWARE VERSION:
2.2007.51-3

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:

Attempt to voice call a google talk user who is using Microsoft Windows Vista.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:

Voice call connects and I am able to hear the person at the other end and they
are able to hear me.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:

The voice call connects but neither parties can hear each other.

REPRODUCIBILITY:

Always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
none

OTHER COMMENTS:

The other party had the latest version of google talk and we tested (with same
person) on Microsoft Windows XP and voice call worked fine. I have also
experienced the same problem with someone else running the google talk client
in Microsoft Windows Vista.

I have checked the usual problems:

Sound devices all working at other end
Networking was all working at both ends

I have also tested Microsoft Windows XP google talk to Microsoft Windows Vista
google talk and this also works - however I note that google made an update to
make google talk work on vista: http://www.google.com/talk/whatsnew.html
22/04/08 - "Windows Vista Support
You can now use Google Talk with Microsoft's new Windows Vista operating
system."

I'm guessing that they have added something that will work round the
monstrosity that is Microsoft Windows Vista and updated all their clients with
this addition, the client in OS2008 unfortunately has gotten left behind.
