https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4867 Summary: ICQ Yahoo AIM potocols for the built-in chat client? Product: Chat and Internet Call Version: unspecified Platform: N810 OS/Version: Maemo Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: Low Component: IM/Chat AssignedTo: rtcomm at maemo.org ReportedBy: cak at mail.bg QAContact: im-chat-bugs at maemo.bugs This is a suggestion for a feature, also a request. I'm frustrated how so far in none of the official OS updates the IM/chat client has not been updated. It still only supports google talk officially, the other enhancement protocols do not work properly. I still have not been able to manage ICQ protocol to work, let alone if I want to combine my other IMs into the built-in chat client of Maemo. What is the meaning of having a built-in chat software in the platform if it is so basic that nobody uses it, but resorts to third party software. Yes I know I can use pidgin and whatnot, but then just the built-in chat client is totally unusable, takes place, is for no reason integrated in the main OS, and is generally garbage. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.maemo.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Replies to this email are NOT read, instead please add comments at https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4867 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
