Obviously by unastisfied customer who had expected that after several years the
integrated functions of the platform would be perfected into a complete final
product.

It would be great if even though the interface design is rugged, we would still
be able to use the integrated programs in the OS as a fully functional stand
alone applications, in such a way that the N810 alone is stand-alone and
self-sufficient device where the other applications available only serve as
enhancements.

Currently the IM is integrated but is not working (besides for g-talk), which
renders this integral part of the OS as basic as it was when the device was
first introduced. In other words, we have to download 3d party software to make
this device usable which makes it a mere shell and not a final product.

Still after so many years Nokia, nor its open-source developers society has
managed to complete a product and move it from the beta model into a complete
endu-user ready product.

I understand now that Nokia has falsely advertised this product as internet
tablet ready to be used by the public, while in fact this seems a concealed
product intended only for the Linux maniacs worldwide.

Take Android and Iphone for example: both are open-source platforms in the
terms that other can design and create applications for them, but stripped from
all third party applications, those devices and platforms are still
self-sufficient and completely functional. Whereas N810 without 3d party
application is still clumsy, IM doesn't cover many protocols, email is rugged,
Browser doesn't remember last opend file path, etc...
