[maemo-community] Summit hotel room allocation & management

Quim,

Thanks for making us aware of this.

How would you see sponsoring other people at this point? I can see
several options:

  - Allow people who have already booked their travel and accomodation
to cancel their current accomodation (the traveller will have to check
and pay for any cancelling fees, not expensable) and share one of the
rooms still available.

  - Allow people who can pay for their travel, but chose not to come
because of the accomodation price to get a room.

The two options above have the disadvantage of being nightmares to
manage. Who will be offered what? Who's willing to accept? Who wants
to make compromises in order to save some money?

One last option would be to simply cancel the rooms and give Nokia the
money leftovers. However, in my short career in corp I've learned you
should never go under budget.

Thoughts?
