This is a known limitation when the dialog is opened from the status bar (i.e.
when it's system modal). When it's opened from an application (Phone, Contacts,
Conversations, Settings), account creation works expectedly.

The options are:

1. Make the dialog an application instead
2. Embed the browser in a dialog
3. Close the dialog (not much better than the current behavior since it's
difficult to know when the user has stopped interacting with the web page)
4. Disallow creating new accounts from the status bar (although e.g. jabber
accounts can still be created)
5. Disallow anything that requires opening the browser
6. Live with the usability issue hoping that few people hit it

Options 4 and 6 were the most feasible and we chose the latter. System modal
dialogs are evil, but since we are stuck with them in Maemo 5, this is a
WONTFIX.
