The maemo ideas page has a mention to Location related projects.

As mentioned, location is one of our preferred chapters. If your idea
implies a development based on maemo on this topic, your proposal is on
topic. Note that this doesn't mean any acceptance, since this will
depend on the other projects presented and the cut made by Google.
