I'm working on it, so, I'm very interested too. I'm working with
Gstreamer, trying to make a plugin, I have some examples in python and
the plugins of rhythmbox.

I had the idea of using shell-fm and only rewrite only the audio module.

I haven't got anything written in code, but I know how it works and
what work must be done.
